I also tested transportation options, including taxis and trains, to find the most efficient and cost-effective ways for my clients to get around. For instance, I recommend having your hotel arrange taxis to avoid the high costs of hailing one on the street, especially in cities like Rome. (10 euro at hotel vs 40 euro on the street)

They also don't make change...so you better be certain to have Euro in coins to use the toilet.     I’ve learned that the best strategy is to use the restroom at restaurants where you’re dining—it’s free and more reliable. Use it even if you don't need to!    I also discovered that cash is king in many areas, with credit cards (especially American Express) not widely accepted. These are just a few of the practical tips I share with my clients to help them avoid common pitfalls.
